Investigative Studies
Our clinical investigations address disease processes in hepatology and gastroenterology.
Being located in a predominantly Asian community, we are particularly mindful of the distinct challenges that affect ethnic minorities. Our projects address the deficiencies in medical and scientific literature regarding these minorities as well as addressing other disparities that affect under-studied populations.
Scholarly Projects
We have several active projects studying the natural history, treatment response, and epidemiology for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Many of our trainees and interns take an independent role in these scholarly projects.
Many of our scholarly projects have been presented at international scientific conferences and published in peer-reviewed medical journals. We attend annual meetings for the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, Digestive Disease Week, and the American College of Gastroenterology.
